Coaching Contract
This agreement is made between the ‘coachee’ and Jay Macleod (the ‘coach’) for a number of coaching sessions.
The Coaching Relationship
The purpose of the coaching relationship is to support the coachee to achieve their goals. The coach and coachee will first come to an agreement about the nature of coaching. Coaching is a non-therapeutic intervention intended for coachees who wish to enhance their performance or improve their work or personal situation. Coaching may address specific personal issues that you bring up. Other coaching services include values clarification, education, brainstorming, identifying plans of action, examining modes of operating in life, asking clarifying questions, and making empowering requests.
Coachee’s Responsibilities
• To attend coaching sessions as agreed
• To select topics for discussion
• To set and pursue meaningful goals
Coach’s Responsibilities
• To manage the coaching process (including timekeeping)
• To undertake regular professional CPD
• To maintain confidentiality (subject to certain exemptions)
Remuneration
Our agreement will consist of a minimum of 6 sessions of one session (or two half sessions) a week, at dates and times to be mutually agreed. The remuneration for each session is £100.00, payable in advance of each session. In addition, a 15 minute ‘between session’ catch up can be arranged for no remuneration. The minimum of 6 sessions can re-contract if more sessions are required after this term, which will be under the same terms, subject to mutual agreement.
Rescheduling Sessions
Coaching sessions can be rescheduled by either the coachee or the coach with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. If the coachee completely misses a scheduled appointment with no notice, that will be counted as one of their sessions. If the coachee misses an appointment, it is their responsibility to contact the coach to reschedule.
Termination
This agreement is for a minimum of 6 sessions and may be extended following the initial programme with our agreement. Should we determine that insufficient progress or cooperation exists after any of the sessions, either party may cancel this agreement without recourse or any payments required to complete the minimum 6 sessions as long as the required notice is given.
Session Procedure
Our appointments will be by online video calling, such as Skype, Google Meet or FaceTime etc. Method to be determined by agreement between coach and coachee.
Confidentiality
Certain information of a confidential manner may be relayed during sessions. I will not, at any time, either directly or indirectly, use this information for my benefit nor disclose this information to anyone else without your specific written approval. This excludes disclosure of illegal activities or if I believe there is an imminent risk of harm to the coachee. When I am engaged in supervision my coaches may be referred to anonymously in this context. The coaches is assured that the supervision relationship is itself also confidential
Professional Conduct
As a Member of the EMCC I abide by their Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors, and I engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Please send me a message and we will arrange for a free online introductory session, where we get to know each other and I explain in more detail how the sessions will work.
